So yeah. WiP Because I won't be able to work on this for a little bit, things have come up.
Vinyl Scratch in all her glory
Well, I say that.. But this is a very unrefined version of the final product, essentially this is still line art.
This is going to be shaded quite dark with the glowing magic around the records and off her horn being the main light source bouncing off fog.
Obviously she isn't "holding" the records with her hooves, she's just placing her hooves there slightly on an angle (dunno if I captured the hooves right I had absolutely no reference for this, all from my imagination) but I did the best I could with improvising pony anatomy in a way I had never seen it before (also Vinyls hair is annoying to figure out how it would fall from the front XD)
Suggestions to improve this are more than welcome, I have no clue how the pony anatomy would look in this kind of position nor how vinyls hair looks front on like I said.
By the way, the eyes are just painted red for the sake of ease, I have her proper eyes in a seperate PSD that I'm working on but until then these ones are place holders
[update] Kay so it seems editing in new versions of images isn't working now, so I'll just re-upload the finished product

My question is, though... I wonder if, when you're finished of course, if I could snag this as a new avi? The purple record says "Octavia" to me, and that is good enough! haha.
Really though, I like this a lot. It's pretty fucking sweet, if I do say so.
I already know where I need to improve it like bits of the hair that are a little awkward, fix up the elbow etc.
Plus I need to apply her proper eyes and all the heavy shading

if that's how much you like the really rushed rough version I can hardly wait to see how you react to the finished product, I'm gonna squeeze the time in to get this finished quicker no matter what now
By the way you were saying about the record colours, I kinda just went for whatever colours looked kinda nice together if there was a colour you had in mind that would look better I can easily change it
The only things I'd tell you to work on is the eyes and arms. The white glare thing in the right eye is out of place making it look kind of derped. And theres no freaking way pony arms can bend that way. But Im only guessing at that part.
The hair works fine.
As for the arms, if you look at applejacks arms when she crosses them over the upper arm is fairly short. Granted I screwed up the elbow joint but this is just a rough preview of things to come because I'm not sure when I can start working on it again.
The hair took ages to get and it's still not quite there yet (rough outlines not withstanding) but thank you for saying so.
